New Year, New Stores

Filed under: Blog — Tags: — Aaron Mathews

2010 may be the year of the tiger, but with over 500 retailers in our Mall (and more on the way), it will quickly become the year of the Blastoff shopper.

The Blastoff Mall is now bigger than the nation’s largest – yes, even bigger than the Mall of America in Minnesota — and you don’t have to brave below-freezing temperatures to enjoy it. Now, members can exercise their right to receive cash back from Rockport, Wilson’s Leather, Ghiradelli, Clinique, and many other popular brands.

But hold onto those shopping carts because the news gets better. Some retailers have also increased their cash-back rewards, letting their loyal customers keep more of their hard-earned incomes. Combine these savings with great merchant specials, discount codes, and tax-free shopping at most stores, and your days of fighting for a parking space are history.

Blastoff shoppers…this is your year, make it a great one!

The following stores are now live:

Baby Universe
Baseball Rampage
Bealls Department Stores
Bluefly
Cheap O Air

Welcome Blastoff Network Members!

As many of you log onto your new site, you will have questions and suggestions. This is to be expected, and we welcome both. I want to address some of the more common questions with you now:

Q. Does Completing My Status give me any advantages?
A. No – these are just things you should do to fully explore the Blastoff experience.

Q. Why are my purchases not showing up in My Rewards?
A. It can take up to 15 business days for some purchases to show up.

Q. When will I get my check? (Great question!)
A. It normally takes 60 days for the commissions to make it from the retailers back to us and to you the members.

Q. My site is running a little slow – why?
A. Make sure you are using a high speed internet connection and that you don’t have other memory- or processor-intensive programs running in the background. Also, make sure you are not using Internet Explorer 6 – many new web applications do not support IE 6. The site runs best in Firefox 3.5. If you are going to use Internet Explorer, I would suggest upgrading to version 8.  You can also use Safari 4 or later.

Q. How often do you add new content or merchants?

A. We consistently explore new apps, games, media providers, and news feeds to bring to your page. And like I said, feel free to suggest any new content you’d like to see.  Currently, there are more than 400 merchants in the Blastoff Mall with more joining each week.

Q. How can I invite friends to join? (Another great question!)

A. You can import your contacts into Blastoff and let us automatically send them an invitation. You can also post a Blastoff video to your Facebook page or order our printed promotional materials, customized with your name and Blastoff web address. Of course, you can always just tell folks about the experience and send them an email or letter inviting them to join. The choice is yours.

Q. Can those under 18 years old join?

A. We are planning something exciting for our members between 13 and 17 years old. Check back soon for more details.

Q. Lastly, where do I get help?

While Blastoff was designed to be intuitive and user-friendly, you may encounter a few kinks at times, but rest assured, we are constantly working to streamline and improve your online experience. No major internet release has ever launched without bugs or issues of some kind, so we consider ourselves in good company.

You can join the Blastoff Community and share your experiences–good, bad, or indifferent–with other Blastoff users, seeking their feedback or sharing ideas. You can also use the FEEDBACK or CONTACT US links on your homepage to receive support from a Blastoff customer service representative. If you’re a visual person, try our TUTORIALS section, which is accessible in your member dashboard.

Overall the responses we’ve received from you have been amazing – we appreciate your support! Now, go save money and have fun!

Blastoff is ‘GO’ for Launch!

Filed under: Blog — Aaron Mathews

Ignition. The countdown started three years ago as the creative brainchild of three, talented individuals: William Rodgers, Adam Smith, and Scott Berman. Between them, they bring the strategy, vision, heartbeat, and fun to the biggest phenomenon to hit cyberspace since its invention. And the buzz is out-of-this-world.

Blastoff is the fun, easy, and free way to do everything you already do on the web, only better. Shop, read your email, play games, listen to music, watch videos, plan a vacation, network with friends, track your investments, and catch up on the latest news and gossip. You get the idea. Blastoff brings all of this and more right to your fingertips from a convenient, fully customizable homepage. Why set your “sites” anywhere else?

If that wasn’t good enough, Blastoff propels the online experience into hyperdrive by offering a unique internet shopping platform that actually pays its members for every purchase made through their Blastoff accounts. Savvy shoppers already know that online retail provides some of the best pricing and promotions around, including many transactions that are tax-free. Well, Blastoff combines those same great deals with cash-back bonuses of up to 15% on each purchase. And if you’re like me, saving money on the stuff you buy all the time is what you live for.

While the advent of social networking sites is a great way to prove your cyber-worth, none of them actually reward you for being a social butterfly. With Blastoff, every time any of your friends shop online through their own Blastoff accounts, you get paid a commission on that sale. If there was ever any excuse to network, that’s it.
